The Benefits of an Early Intervention Program

Research has shown that a child learns more in the first three years of life will be learned in the rest of his or her lifetime. Learning in these formative years lays the foundation for the acquisition of more complex skills and competencies needed for success in school and in life.

Through instruction and assistance, a quality early intervention program can provide opportunities to maximize a child's developmental capabilities and help meet critical learning stages to ensure their growth potential.

By providing a resource of information and support for parents and caregivers, early intervention programs can help parents deal constructively with their child's disability or delay.

Individualized Program Plan (IPP)

When your child begins the program, we will begin the assessment process. This process will include gathering information on your child's medical and developmental history, along with making written observations of his/her abilities and skills.

Following this initial assessment period, we will meet with you to share the results of our assessments and observations. Together with you, we will identify the child's strengths and needs. We will develop goals and a plan to achieve these goals. This is known as an Individual Program Plan (IPP)
